West Devon Mayoral Awards
The Mayor is seeking out for recognition a resident West Devon person or a firm or other organisation who/which has done something particularly noteworthy within the Borough, or has enhanced the reputation of the Borough on the national stage, or has made a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of the natural environment of West Devon.
An individual can include a person temporarily living away from the Borough but whose main place of residence remains in West Devon.
If YOU know of any person and/or a business or organisation who you feel has done something worthy of Borough-wide recognition, then let us know by nominating them for these Annual Awards.
Three Awards are to be made:
- one to a young person (under 18 years old) - "The West Devon Mayoral Award (Under 18)"
- one to a person (18 years or above) or to a firm/organisation - "The West Devon Mayoral Award (Over 18/Organisation)"
- one to an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of the natural environment of West Devon - "The Mayor's Green Award"
Nominations
You may put forward nominations in each category and for as many nominees as you wish.
Nominations are to be received by not later than 24th February 2012
Nominations may to be submitted in writing, using the nomination form attached, and should be returned to:

Who will judge
The Judges will be the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and one other Councillor who will make their decision no later than Friday 17th March and the winners (and persons nominating them) will be notified immediately thereafter.
