Community Transport in West Devon
Many people are unable to access public transport in West Devon, because they do not live near a bus service, or find it physically difficult. There are a number of community transport options available in West Devon that can help you access the services and facilities that are important to you.
Community Transport and Travel Booklet

Ring and Ride and Community Car Service
West Devon Borough Council supports the Ring and Ride scheme in Tavistock and the Ring and Ride and Community Car Service in Okehampton. These schemes provide transport for the rurally isolated, elderly, and those who find it physically difficult to use conventional public transport. The service can also be very useful for young people and parents.
Ring and Ride buses collect passengers from their home and transport them to the town centres. Passengers have about 2 hours to do their banking, shopping, visit the doctors, or just have a cup of tea.
Passengers should ring a day before they need to travel (or Friday for Monday travel.)
