Parliamentary Election
A General Election will be held on Thursday 6th May and, from this year, the West Devon Borough Council area will fall within two constituencies
West Devon residents need to be aware that new constituency boundaries will take effect at the next Parliamentary Election, which will be held on Thursday 6th May 2010.
The two constituencies, within which the West Devon Borough Council area will fall, will be Torridge and West Devon and the new Central Devon. Some areas previously within the Torridge and West Devon constituency have moved into Central Devon (which will also take in some of Mid Devon, East Devon and Teignbridge District Council areas). The Buckland Monachorum Ward (which consists of Yelverton, Buckland Monachorum, Crapstone, Clearbrook and Milton Coombe) was previously in the Plymouth South West constituency but will move in to the Torridge and West Devon constituency.

West Devon Borough Council are the lead authority for the new Central Devon constituency and Torridge District Council will be organising the election for the Torridge and West Devon seat
