West Devon does allow some pieces of land to be used as garden land under licence by local residents on application. It must be stressed that these are not statutory allotments and any agreement for their use is at the Council's discretion.
The only land we operate a waiting list for is an area of 4 plots at Crelake in Tavistock.
In all other cases a request to use Council land for this purpose is considered on a case by case basis when an approach is made by a member of the public.
