Discount Review Letters
If you have recently received a Single Person Discount Review letter, this is because the Council’s records indicate that you are receiving a 25% single person discount, which is a reduction in your bill because you are the only adult resident in the property.
The review letter must be responded to, even if you are still the only adult resident, and failure to do so will result in your Single Persons Discount being removed, and therefore an increase in your Council Tax bill.
Sometimes people forget to tell us of a change, which could include a partner, tenant or other individual moving in, the property becoming a second home, or a child turning 18 and other personal circumstances. You can use this review response to advise us of those changes. Note, please only use it to advise us where you are no longer the sole adult occupier, and not any other changes to your circumstances.
The review is being managed on the Council’s behalf by Capacitygrid. Their contact details are on the review letter you have received.

If you don’t pay Council Tax
If you have received a Discount Review Form but do not pay Council Tax, perhaps because you receive full help with your payments, you still need to complete the Discount Review Form.
The Discount Review is checking that you are still the sole adult occupant of the property.
Failure to complete your Discount Review
If you do not complete your Discount Review, it will be assumed that you are no longer entitled to the 25% Single Person Discount and it will be removed. This will mean you will have to pay more Council Tax.
