Farewell to Council's Longest Serving Members of Staff. John Medland, West Devon Borough Council's longest serving member of staff, retired on 26 June, after 44 years working for the Council and its predecessors.

Devon Games to Inspire 2009

Previously known as Devon Youth Games, this year’s event will take place on Sunday July 5, hosted by North Devon District Council. The Games, sponsored by the RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) project using Olympic legacy money, will tie in with the national lead-up to the 2012 London Olympics, with a focus on culture as well as the usual sporting events.
