What have we done so far
- Secured £600, 000 in Green Homes Grants to help upgrade energy inefficient homes
- Launched an initiative to help landlords achieve the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards
- Produced a new planning policy and guidance document which sets out what all new development should do to make sure it can adapt to the challenges of climate change
- Achieved Bronze standard carbon literacy training for senior staff members
- Funded Electric Vehicle Charging Points in a number of council-owned car parks
- Initiated woodland regeneration on two council land areas totalling 8 hectares, working in partnership with the Woodland Trust
